Herbal Medicine

A life built of strong foundations rooted in collective care which honours our fellow beings

Rosie is a fully qualified Western Medical Herbalist and member of the National Institute for Medical Herbalists (NIMH) established in 1864, the largest body of herbal practitioners in the UK.

A herbalist will treat the whole person rather than just a diagnosed condition. Medicinal herbs tend to have an affinity with a particular bodily or organ system or process.  With this knowledge and her therapeutic approach Rosie will address the root cause of your presenting symptoms and prescribe suitable bespoke herbal blends to treat you; if you are suffering from stress and it’s stopping you from sleeping, if your digestion is disturbed and it’s affecting your appetite and nutrient absorption, or maybe your periods are irregular and painful and nothing is helping. Herbal medicines have a wide and varied application so do get in touch.

Rosie received her diploma in Herbal Medicine from Heartwood Education after five years of study covering anatomy and physiology, materia medica, pathophysiology, differential diagnosis and clinical examination as well as completing over 500 clinical training hours with a number of different practicing herbalists around the country. With a background in permaculture; a holistic and systems thinking philosophy inspired by the traditional ecological knowledge of indigenous and land-based societies, Rosie advocates for direct contact with nature. Outside of her clinical practice she offers herbal workshops and walks in the Cambridge area.

Herbalism is ecology in action - David Hoffman, Medical Herbalist
